Maintaining the DSN Catalog (TSIDUTL) FASTRS

FASTRS
FASTRS restores the DSN Catalog from a dataset created with FASTBU. FASTRS does not
repair errors or reorganize the DSN Catalog. FASTRS can be used to change the location of
the catalog, but not its size.
If the catalog was backed up with the BACKUP function, the RESTORE function must be
used instead of FASTRS. See 4-8 for complete restore procedures in an emergency situation.

When running FASTRS, no other job or CPU should access the DSN Catalog.
None
A DLBL, fully qualified EXTENT, and ASSGN statements or a DD statement is required for
the DSN Catalog using the filename IJSYSDS. This can be located in Standard Labels, or in
the Job Stream.
